The Northshore Jewish Congregation is a new congregation on the North
Shore of Lake Pontchartrain, about 30 miles from downtown New Orleans.
Affiliated with the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, NJC is a
family-oriented congregation that grew out of a chavurah in order to
bring Judaism closer to our homes and hearts. Click here to download the NJC

We extend a warm welcome to all who are seeking a Jewish community that is built on
the age old foundations of Jewish tradition as expounded by Rabban Simeon ben Gamliel, who said that the
world sustains itself by three things:truth, justice and peace. It is these three concepts that inform our
traditional values of God, Torah and Israel.
If you need a place to call your spiritual home, look no further,
we surely have a place here for you. Please feel free to contact us for further information regarding our weekly
Friday evening and Saturday morning Shabbat services, our religious school or our adult education department. There
